While most college kids deal with tackling tough classes, Kingsbury, a defensive lineman on the 2005 Sun Bowl Champion Arizona State University football team, spent his college athletic career trying to tackle the likes of future NFL stars Reggie Bush (USC) and Maurice Jones-Drew (UCLA).  The communications major was a walk-on at ASU and the second “The Ultimate Fighter” contestant to play defensive line for a Division 1 college (Brad Imes, season 2).  Kingsbury was born and raised in San Jose, CA and attended Monta Vista High School where he was an All-League defensive tackle and was a starter on the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League champion wrestling team as a heavyweight.  Kingsbury continues to reside in San Jose where he trains with the AKA (American Kickboxing Academy) Team.  Kingsbury is currently dating his college sweetheart Kristen Kovesdy, one of the most-acclaimed women’s basketball players at Arizona State University.
